My mom visited for a few days from North Carolina last week. It was her first visit to us since we've lived in this house--and we introduced her to the rooms, the garden, the yard, the neighborhood, and the local ice cream venue. (The important places, right?)
I had no intention of taking the entire week off from this space, but sometimes life has a way of letting us know what we need to do. Of getting our attention.
We're wise if we listen when that happens. So even though it doesn't come naturally to me to let go of "my plans," I tried to listen and make the best choices.
What is life trying to tell you today? What do you need to do (or not do) in order to heed its message?
“Take rest; a field that has rested gives a bountiful crop.”
