I'd been wanting to make a summer fun list for the kids--something cool and Pinterest-worthy.
But it's just not going to happen--not that way. Instead, I decided to do it now.
After all, what was the goal? It was to post our ideas, which we brainstormed together, for all to see and get excited by. To give meaning to the season ahead.
And that need was met in less than ten minutes with two pieces of construction paper.
Mission accomplished.
When a task hangs over our heads for a while, our enjoyment of it diminishes. But when we "do it now," we get the joy of finishing well without that extra burden of anxiety.
Is there a task that's been taunting you for a while? Is there a way to do it now, enabling you to cross it off your mental list and move on?
