In seedlings and in children (& dare I say, in mamas, too) it happens the same:
growth.
We can't always see what's taking place below the surface, though, while we wait for the growth to break through. That's okay.
Our job is to continue with the nurturing--the watering, feeding, tending, reminding, loving.
We don't have to micromanage the results. We do our part...and nature takes over the rest. God has designed the maturity of a seed and the maturity of a child.
Let's enjoy the unfolding, remembering that children are not adults, and that's just as it should be.
"Just as plants soak up water, your children need your loving words,
and with them they will thrive."
