I've been wanting to mention a few favorite resources that have come my direction over the past year. These books and courses have impacted me in some way--helping me become more of a professional mama, helping improve my life and the life of my family, or just helping me stay inspired.
Many of these links are affiliates, but I share because I can promote them wholeheartedly and sincerely. I know that if they've made a difference in my life, they might make one in yours as well!
Getting Organized
* One Bite at a Time - This new ebook, by my good friend Tsh Oxenreider of Simple Mom (she's also my boss!), breaks simplicity down into 52 easy steps.
It tackles everything from organic living to paper clutter to family purpose. A good read to give feet to your good intentions.
* Simple Blogging - Anytime I start to get overwhelmed by my blogging schedule, I think, "What would Rachel do?"
This short ebook has been tremendously helpful as I struggle to keep blogging in the proper place in my life, while still being able to professionally grow my platform.
Learning Together
* Oak Meadow - I have so enjoyed adding Oak Meadow resources to our family's homeschool.
Creativity, gentleness, and freedom to enjoy learning - those are the qualities they've helped me bring into our home. (Oak Meadow even carry my book in their bookstore now; isn't that the coolest?!)
* Educating the Wholehearted Child - This book by Clay and Sally Clarkson (Sally blogs at I Take Joy), was just released in its third edition. Clay and Sally share their experiences, from a Christian perspective, on using books, relationships, and real life to educate their four children.
Making Memories
* The Rhythm of Family - This recent release is my favorite thus far among Amanda Soule's books.
It is a beautiful, inspiring guidebook to making memories through the seasons. As if we could expect any less from the writer of SouleMama!
Retaining Enthusiasm
* Grace for the Good Girl - If you need to let go of perfectionism, this book is for you. Emily's blog is one of the few I read on a daily basis, and I just love seeing mama bloggers turn into authors! I couldn't wait to get my hands on the words she's spent so long writing.
* Designed for Wellness - Last year I had the chance to enroll in this e-course, created by another virtual friend of mine, Lisa Byrne of WellGrounded Life.
Lisa is a holistic health counselor, and this course was 12 weeks of exactly what I needed when I needed it. It was a fabulous investment in myself, my health, and my family. I can't recommend it highly enough, and the next session starts on Monday!
I just realized that all of these resources were in some way created by people I know or have connected with through the blogosphere--how amazing!
Any helpful resources come across your path lately? I'm always looking for new ones!
