As a mother, we know that each day a variety of priorities will mentally pull us this way and that, trying to get our attention. In the midst of such internal ruckus, it can be difficult to decipher what actually is most important.
I've thought before about taking a sabbatical from Steady Mom, but this December was the first time everything aligned so I could make it a reality. Still, there were insecurities involved: Would pageviews plummet, would book sales drop, would I be able to find something else to do? (Uh, I did.)
I'm more than happy to say that a few days into the experiment I forgot all about checking pageviews, somehow book sales went up (Thanks to those of you who've purchased Steady Days!), and I had the inner confidence that I had chosen the best.
