As a mother, we know that each day a variety of priorities will mentally pull us this way and that, trying to get our attention. In the midst of such internal ruckus, it can be difficult to decipher what actually is most important.
I've thought before about taking a sabbatical from Steady Mom, but this December was the first time everything aligned so I could make it a reality. Still, there were insecurities involved: Would pageviews plummet, would book sales drop, would I be able to find something else to do? (Uh, I did.)
I'm more than happy to say that a few days into the experiment I forgot all about checking pageviews, somehow book sales went up (Thanks to those of you who've purchased Steady Days!), and I had the inner confidence that I had chosen the best.

Stepping away from this side of the blogosphere also gave me something to look forward to. I am excited about moving into 2011 and can't wait to see all it holds for all of us.
Thanks for joining me on the journey. It's good to be back.
