To celebrate two years of blogging, I wanted to do something fun.
Something different.
I just finished five days of giveaways over on Simple Homeschool last week. It was awesome, but I didn't want to recreate more of the same.
Still, I wanted to have a little way to say thank you to those of you who read here so faithfully.
Soooooo, I decided to give away 100 e-copies of Steady Days! Today!!
There are no gimmicks or hoops to jump through, but a few thoughts to share:

Some may want to know why I'm doing this - here are a few reasons:
1. Because I can.
My husband Steve and I self-published Steady Days through our own company. I could write for a long time about both the ups and downs of self-publishing, but the short story is that it has been very good to me. I love seeing how blog gurus like Leo Babauta and Seth Godin have jumped on the self-publishing bandwagon.
One of the benefits is the creative control you maintain over your work, which means you can give it away however and whenever you want!
2. Because it's fun.
Tis better to give than receive, right? Our family really believes that, and tries to make giving a high priority.
I love that I can bless you this way and I hope that 100 of you find it to be a lovely little surprise today.
3. Because I owe you my thanks.
It blows and boggles my mind that so many busy mamas spend a fraction of your precious free time reading my words here.
I'm so grateful to each one of you.
4. Because it's just a little risky.
So, like, what if nobody ever buys my book again? What if 100 of you had it on your Christmas wish list and now you won't need it anymore?
Many of us live our lives from a place of "what if's." It's so easy to do. But Steve and I believe that life is for the living and that taking risks is a part of growth and going after your dreams.
It's good to risk, good to thank, and good to give. So stop reading this post and go - get your copy of Steady Days today.
