Being a Steady Mom is not easy. There are blood, sweat and tears on a regular basis.
You can't punch out and go home to get some rest and relaxation, and when you're having a bad day the kids still need to eat and hear stories and be loved.
Providing a steady rhythm for your children requires an infinite amount of energy, patience, resolve and determination.
Thank you.
Thank you for waking up everyday and doing what you do. Thank you for breakfast. Thank for lunch and thank you for dinner. Thank you for singing and playing.
Thank you for reading the same stories over and over again. Thank you for holding hands. Thank you for laughing and thank you for respecting tears.
Thank you for saying sorry and thank you for taking a deep breath.
Thank you for knowing when you need a break. Thank you for being honest and having compassion while you deal with the tough stuff.
Thank you for doing the laundry. Thank you for birthday cakes, favorite dinners and special surprises. Thank you for making time and space for friends.
Thank you for being exactly the mom your kids need you to be--just by being you. You make a difference, not just for your children, but also for the larger community.
You are an amazing Steady Mom, and today I am thankful for you.
**To our US readers, have a wonderful day of Thanksgiving tomorrow! See you back here on Friday.**
