Last month when I added something to your to-do list the goal was to get messy with our kids, remember?
If you participated, let us know how it went for you.
Here's what it looked like for me:
Yes, that is my hand after making colored homemade playdough, which the kids threw around outside for hours.
A successful start to messy play, if you ask me!
Let's set another simple goal for this week -
To Do:
Pick one day this week and give each child in your home six hugs that last at least six seconds.
Why six? When I read The Happiness Project, author Gretchen Rubin reminds us that hugging relieves stress as well as pain. And if the physical contact lasts for six seconds or more it creates even more of a mood-boosting effect.
To
Remember:
"I will not play tug o' war. I'd rather play hug o' war. Where everyone hugs instead of tugs, Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug, Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins, and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins." ~ Shel Silverstein
