1. Persistence Pays Off
He knows what he wants and keeps his eyes on the prize. He rarely gives up and usually gets what he's after (in some form or the other).
2. Whistle While You Work
Everything is play and fun! Whether we are washing dishes, walking to the laundromat or having a down day at home, I find him humming and singing in his silly personal language.
Why not be happy as you navigate your day?
3. Think Outside the Box (Color Outside the Lines)
Rules? What rules?
Should's and have-to's just don't matter in his world. He doesn't care if he's in plaid or stripes, or whether he's singing at the top of his voice in a small crowded elevator.
He lives by his own design.
4. Never Be Afraid to Push Limits
Mama, you're tired and overwhelmed? I think I might just stretch your limits a little bit more.
He's not afraid to step outside comfort zones to explore new emotional territory.
5. Beauty Sleep Can Make or Break You
After a good night's sleep he's handsome, bright-eyed, and charming. After a few late nights and a missed nap--he's a three-eyed, grumpy monster.
I have a feeling I'm the same way.
6. Never Underestimate the Healing Powers of Love
No matter who did what, hugs and snuggles soothe the wildest of emotions.
7. A Good Cry is Priceless
Sometimes he just needs to cry.
Me too.
8. A Little Help Goes a Long Way
He's such a big guy: very independent and wants to do everything himself. But at just the right time a little boost from mama can go a long way.
We can't do it all on our own now, can we?
