Motivated by posts at Serene Journey and ProBlogger, here's a list of ten mommy bloggers who have inspired me and who I know will continue to produce amazing content in 2010.
If by some chance any of these ladies are not in your feed reader--they should be!
Some have tens of thousands following along and some are newbies with a bright future--all are incredible women who I enjoy reading and hearing from:
Tsh's down-to-earth approach to mothering has brought thousands to her site in a very short time. I've had the privilege of working with her recently (more on this soon!), and I can honestly say she is just as friendly, real, humble, and inspiring as she comes across on her blog.
Jamie's favorite post: Use the Good Stuff
Renee blogs about family, nature, outdoor living, creative pursuits, and homeschooling. Her photography is incredible and her thoughts candid and original. She is a kindred spirit!
Jamie's favorite post: Homeschooling the Early Years
Rachel's approach is one of simplicity. Her posts are short and to-the-point--always with a thought you can carry into your own day.
Jamie's favorite post: Real Life is Not Real Simple
4. Hillary @ Infinite Learners
Hillary writes about sustainability and mindful family living. She doesn't talk the status quo and produces content that makes you think.
Jamie's favorite post: To Reprimand or to Let it Be
With two successful books and a mega-blog, Amanda does not need my plug! But her presence in the blogosphere can't go unmentioned. She regularly fills her site with the homemade goodness of her family's life in Maine.
Jamie's favorite post: Snapshots
Abby's posts are thoughtful and thought-provoking, and come from the angle of simple, healthy, sustainable living in the city. She often incorporates research into her posts, summarizing and presenting it in a clear, applicable way.
Jamie's favorite post: Slow Parenting
7. Erin @ exhale. return to center.
Erin's blog reminds us to focus on what's most important. As she openly and vulnerably shares her own journey, Erin encourages us to be real and true to ourselves.
Jamie's favorite post: It is Good to Sit
Yes, this is also the same Sherri from Serene Journey. What I really enjoy about Sherri's approach is that she isn't afraid to think big. Obviously that strategy has paid off--since she's now collaborating with Leo Babauta over at Zen Family.
Jamie's favorite post: The Secret Life of High-Energy Parents
9. Jennifer @ Conversion Diary
Jennifer has four children under five years of age, and blogs about her conversion to Christianity after a life of atheism. Her words are bold and challenging as she tackles the tough topics of faith. I enjoy her perspective on motherhood.
Jamie's favorite post: Admitting That I Can't Do It All...Or Even Half of It
Angie started her blog around the same time I started Steady Mom. She had the courage to walk away from blogging when she felt it was stealing too much time away from her family. Then later in the year, she had the courage to restart--this time bringing in a group of seven other creative mama writers.
Jamie's favorite post: Finding Acceptance
Okay, it was so hard to write this post because there are so many amazing mama writers out there who I love!
So help us all find new favorites today--share who inspires you around the blogosphere.
