Hi all - I'm back from an inspiring conference for home educators in Massachusetts.
For those who might be interested, here are the titles of some of the sessions I attended:
- Teaching Math with Art
- Classical Composers for Dummies: Music History for the Musically Challenged
- The Role of Maturity in Math
- Maximize Your Homeschool with the Most Efficient Strategies for Learning
- Math & the Maze of Methods: Putting Math into Different Teaching Approaches
- What About K-6 Science?
My brain is still in its "homeschool box" - a place I love to hang out (minus the occasional panic attacks that happen there!) I haven't quite been able to emerge to my "blog box" yet. Still trying to process everything I learned and think about the rest of the year. (We start our school year in April and school year-round.)
There are pros and cons to any system of education, but I love living this learning lifestyle full-time with my children. What a blast. Home education is not right for everyone, but I'm so thankful it is right for me and my little people at this time.
I can't believe I get paid for doing something I love so much (oh hang on, I don't get paid a penny for any of this!!!)
I've never had so much fun - it's worth it even if there's no money involved.
I'll be back when my brain's ready to shift gears!
