Steve held a spontaneous cooking lesson for the kids this morning, teaching them to make his famous orange chocolate mousse (although Elijah was convinced they were making a chocolate MOOSE - boy was he disappointed).
Somehow we began a tradition months ago where the children "fly" over to look at the ingredients in the mixer, complete with propeller noises.
The mousse was a success and is setting in the fridge, awaiting dessert time tonight. What a sweet family activity, right? But just to bring a dose of reality in, you should know that as soon as we'd finished Trishna and Elijah immediately began arguing over a chair, and quite a fight ensued. That's why we make sure to enjoy the peaceful moments while they last around here!
