1. Use only my own photos here on Steady Mom.
I've slowly grown more confident with my photos, and I love sharing pics of my own family. For a long time in the blogosphere, I felt like my photography wasn't "good enough." But my skills in this area have improved significantly, and I no longer feel as concerned about comparing my photos to others.
I want Steady Mom to be personal--about my family and what I'm learning as a mama. My own photos are the best way to accomplish that. I also want it to be a memory book of sorts for my little people one day. (For those who are interested, I currently use this camera.)
2. Post five days a week here, Mondays - Fridays.
I've found that there's a certain momentum that either increases or decreases with my blogging schedule. In some ways, posting every weekday is easier than posting less because it becomes a habit, a part of my routine.
I want to be a professional blogger, and what do professional bloggers do? Well, they blog. I view myself as a professional so I need to act like one in my blogging frequency. Even if my post includes just one photo, it's more about the principle than anything else.
Acting like you're already what you want to be helps you get where you want to go--something I talk more about in my ebook Mindset for Moms.
"Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will have to follow. But any action is better than no action at all."
~ Norman Vincent Peale
