Beginning today you'll notice three new ad spaces on Steady Mom. I wanted to share a little about them, instead of just throwing them up without any comment.
For a while I've been exploring a variety of blog ad networks, considering them as a way to further my earning potential here at Steady Mom. I am blessed to spend many hours on both this blog and Simple Homeschool, and I want to make sure the time I spend blogging can not only help my readers, but can also contribute financially to my family.
At the same time, I've been torn by the idea of putting up ads that don't necessarily represent my views and in some cases actually showcase companies or products that go against my personal convictions. This doesn't sit well with me.
Recently I stumbled upon a solution that feels like a good fit: The SustainLane Green Ad Network.
With them I'm able to show ads that represent more of my worldview and that I feel comfortable with. I'm able to preview and accept each ad that displays, so if there is something on my site you'll know that I had a say in allowing it to appear there. I know individuals have a variety of opinions and concerns about advertising (as I do), so I just wanted you to know that a great deal of intentional thought has gone into this decision.
