I have sad news to report: the lettuces didn't make it.
It seems we made a slight error in calculation. We sowed enough lettuce seeds for about an acre into a few tiny starter pots. Whoops. Turns out there should only be a few seeds in each compartment.
It was the kids' fault. Yeah, that's it.
Call it experience.
But the sunflowers and green beans are in - the strawberry plugs transferred, and in two more weeks we'll be ready to transplant outside.
Then the fight against squirrels and bugs begin!
